Dead Island 2, the game that endured quite a long development cycle, has finally launched and has become a big hit with players. During the first 3 days of availability, Dead Island 2 sold over a million copies, which is quite impressive considering the competition surrounding it.
Keys in Dead Island 2 are an important collection item as there are many locked things to break into from safes, houses, chests and much more. This includes a special vehicle called Coach’s Car, which has a valuable weapon in the truck if players know where to look for the key.
Where to Find Coach’s Car Keys and How to Defeat Coach Ace
To kick off the Lost and Found activity in Dead Island 2, players don’t need to wait too long as it can be initiated while in Bel-Air. However, players will need to progress the story long enough to get to the O Michael, Where Art Thou? mission that begins at Emma Jaunt’s mansion.
The quest will take players through Colt Swanson’s house and into his garden area, which also features a tennis court. During this mission, players will likely find a named zombie named Coach Ace, typically seen eating a dead body in the corner of the court. Keep in mind that this zombie can be randomized, so there isn’t a specific thing to look for outside of the name. Thankfully, Coach Ace isn’t a special type of zombie, so players can use whatever means available to take them out without too much trouble. After they’re defeated, they’ll drop the unique item called Coach’s Car keys, though not much direction on which way to go from there.
Where to Use Coach’s Keys in Dead Island 2
Thankfully, Coach Ace’s car isn’t terribly far from Swanson’s tennis courts. Head northeast along Access Road 781 towards the intersection where it meets Access Road 782. Coach’s car is a dark SUV parked on the side of Access Road 782, and players can now use the keys to pop open the trunk.
Inside, players will find a special melee weapon called the Agile Golf Club. While it may not be among the very best Dead Island 2 weapons, the Agile Golf Club is formidable as the blunt melee weapon generates strong critical hits when hitting the head of an enemy. Killing zombies with it also stacks an agility boost for the player as well.
Although Dead Island 2 isn’t a true open-world title, developer Dambuster Studios has made sure that each map has plenty of things to do outside of the main campaign. Side quests will certainly take up plenty of time, typically leading to new weapons, items, and XP, but players are also encouraged to explore every nook and cranny to discover collectibles, Easter eggs, and other secrets.
