Prairie Grass is an essential ingredient for taking care of your Horse in The Sims 4. It can be used to feed Horses as well as other animals like Mini Goats and Mini Sheep.
There are several ways to obtain Prairie Grass in The Sims 4. Additionally, Prairie Grass has another purpose besides satisfying the animals’ Hunger needs, and that is in Nectar production.
How To Obtain Prairie Grass In The Sims 4
In order to obtain Prairie Grass to take care of your Horse in The Sims 4, you have two options: buying it from Buy Mode or purchasing it from the Bits & Bales Mercantile.
How To Obtain Prairie Grass From Buy Mode
Obtaining Prairie Grass from Buy Mode is a simple process. Just open the menu and go to Objects by Room, Outdoors, and click on the small house called Animals. Look for the patch of Prairie Grass, which costs 5 Simoleons. Next to it, you’ll find a stack of Prairie Grass Hay worth 4 Simoleons.
Since the patch of grass is so affordable, you can place multiple patches and allow the Horse to eat directly from them. Eventually, the grass will grow and may even overgrow, so you need to harvest it. Harvesting Prairie Grass can yield rare items such as Space Rocks, random Nectar bottles, and exotic crops like Dragon Fruit.
Another option is to choose the Wild Prairie Grass Lot Challenge from Build Mode, as it helps with the growing process.
How To Obtain Prairie Grass From Bits & Bales Mercantile
The Bits & Bales Mercantile store can be found while exploring New Appaloosa in Chestnut Ridge. The store offers a variety of groceries and items to choose from, including a stack of Prairie Grass Hay for 4 Simoleons, which is the same as the one available in Buy Mode.
