Fans attending a Cleveland Cavaliers game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse during the 2023 NBA Playoffs are in for a treat. The championship-winning team partnered with fan engagement platform ARound to transform their home stadium into an augmented reality (AR)-powered multiplayer arcade.
According to the Ohio-based organization, Cavs Arcade is a shared experience that offers a number of interactive features for fans to enjoy during live games. This includes interactive games like the AR Chain-Shot Contest, a skill-based challenge where attendees can win official Cavs jerseys and autographed merchandise, as well as Landslide, a multiplayer game that divides the entire stadium into multiple teams.
In addition to the games, fans can also expect real-time visual effects that bring memorable characters like mascots Sir CC and Moondog to life in the real world.
