Latest Starfield Patch Notes: Updates and Fixes

This update will add patch notes for both the new update, and the Beta update from November 9th. Given its immense size and scope, there is little doubt that Starfield will feature its fair share of bugs. With the game now in the hands of fans and the first update released, those bugs will begin to be addressed. This first update will begin a process that will span Starfield’s lifecycle, with the developers constantly trying to stay ahead of any new issues that arise. This guide will catalog all available Patch Notes for Starfield, beginning with the first update released in expectation of early access. Going forward, there will be notes provided with every new improvement, hotfix, and update, which will be added here as soon as they are made publicly available. 11/20/2023 – Update 1.8.86
Bethesda has introduced two marquee additions to Starfield with this update: NVIDIA DLSS Support, and the ability to eat food items directly from where they sit, instead of after they’ve been added to inventory.
Performance and Stability:
- Addressed a number of memory related issues and leaks.
- Added some GPU performance optimizations.
- Improved CPU usage most notably on higher end systems.
- Various stability and performance improvements.
- Added the ability to eat the food placed in the world.
- Adjusted stealth to be a bit more forgiving.
- Fixed various issues that prevented players from utilizing weapons.
