In an exciting development at Solana’s PlayGG event in San Diego, Star Atlas developer ATMTA showcased the initial results of its collaboration with real-time engine company MetaGravity.
The demonstration allowed for up to 5,000 players and bots to interact within a single, persistent environment powered by Unreal Engine 5. The goal is to eventually increase this number to over 30,000 players in a cost-effective manner.
The technology will be integrated into the public runtime of the game, making it available to players through the Epic Games Store in a future release.
