The Spike Nations VALORANT Tournament: A Charity Competition Hosted by GGTech Entertainment
GGTech Entertainment, an esports technology company, has announced that it will be hosting the upcoming edition of the Spike Nations VALORANT tournament in Spain this December. This charity tournament will feature national teams from various European countries and Turkey, competing both online and offline. The prize money from the tournament will be donated to charity. The finals of the tournament will take place at Gamergy, a gaming and esports fair held in Madrid.
The Fourth Annual Spike Nations Tournament
This December marks the fourth annual edition of the Spike Nations tournament, which is jointly organized by Riot Games, Twitch, and GGTech Entertainment. The tournament will showcase a total of six teams, including Team Spain, Team Italy, Team Germany, Team UK, Team Turkey, and Team France. The rosters for these teams will be announced in the coming weeks, and the first matches are scheduled to be played in late October. Notably, the winners of the previous edition, Team Benelux, will not participate in this year’s event.
Changes to the Spike Nations Tournament
This year’s Spike Nations tournament brings with it several important changes. Firstly, the number of participants has been reduced to six teams, compared to 12 teams in the previous two editions and 10 teams in the first edition. Secondly, BLAST, the previous tournament organizer, is no longer involved in the event. GGTech Entertainment has been selected to organize and host the charity tournament, with the LAN finals set to take place in Spain, where GGTech is based. This aligns with GGTech’s previous involvement in the university esports league in the UK and Ireland, as well as their partnership with Riot Games.
The LAN Finals in Madrid
This year’s Spike Nations tournament will also include LAN finals, a first for the event. The semi-finals and finals will be held in December at the Gamergy event in Madrid, Spain, which is also organized by GGTech Entertainment. This not only adds convenience but also contributes to regional development within the esports industry.
