BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen: The First Ever Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Esports Tournament in Denmark
Ubisoft and BLAST have announced that the first-ever BLAST R6 Major tournament for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege esports teams will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from the 24th of April to the 7th of May. The event will feature the top R6 teams from nine regions competing for the title and a share of the $750,000 prize pool.
The BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen will introduce a new format this season with 3 phases and 24 participating teams. The competition’s final weekend, from the 5th to the 7th of May, will take place in front of a live audience at the Forum Copenhagen, the heart of the Danish capital.
Phase 1: Play-in – 24th to 27th April
The BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen will kick-off with Phase 1 of the tournament. Sixteen teams have qualified, coming from all 9 regions in the BLAST Rainbow Six circuit. Fans can expect unique international matchups in this phase, and the top 8 teams will qualify for Phase 2.
Phase 2: Playoffs – 29th April to 3rd May
The top 8 teams from Phase 1 will join the following 8 teams that have already qualified for Phase 2 of the Major. The playoffs will be a highly anticipated event where the best teams will compete for a chance to reach Phase 3.
Phase 3: Finals – 5th – 7th May
The final phase of the tournament, Phase 3, will be the ultimate showdown between eight teams. The teams will compete in a Best-of-3 single elimination bracket for a chance to claim Major glory in front of a live audience at the Forum Copenhagen.
The event will also feature several activities for fans to enjoy, such as a merchandise store, free play area, retro gaming area, meet & greets with professional teams, and more!
