The Stormterror’s Lair Puzzle in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact, a free-to-play JRPG with an expansive open world, presents players with challenging puzzles. One of these puzzles involves breaking the seal on the Stormterror’s Lair, a task that requires gathering nine pieces and interacting with specific areas. While it may seem a little confusing at first, this guide will provide step-by-step instructions on how to solve this puzzle.
Unlocking the Stormterror’s Lair
The Stormterror’s Lair puzzle becomes available during Act 3 of Genshin Impact. To tackle this puzzle with ease, players should aim to reach around level 19 or 20. The lair is situated in the northern part of the Mondstadt map, west of the starting city of Mondstadt. It is recognizable by a circular pattern cut by water in a dark area.
Breaking the Seals
To gain access to the dragon’s lair, players must first break three seals. Each seal requires collecting several constellation pieces known as Light Actuators. There is one seal to the east, one to the north, and one to the west.
Breaking the Eastern Seal
The eastern seal can be unlocked by obtaining two Guiding Light pieces situated on top of ruined pillars resembling a colosseum. Players can make use of their glider wings, similar to those found in Breath of the Wild, to reach these pieces. Look for upward gusts of air that can be used to fly onto the pillars. The two pieces are located near the central pillar. Head up the stairs east of the pillar and turn left to find the glowing pieces on the colosseum ruins. Fly to them using the wind gusts and collect both pieces. Regardless of the chosen twin in Genshin Impact, the pieces can be acquired in the same manner. Return to the pillar to open the first seal.
Breaking the Northern Seal
Players can make use of fast travel to reach each seal quickly. After breaking the eastern seal, fast travel back to the Lair to have a convenient starting point for gliding to the next seal. To break the northern seal, locate the teleport waypoint pillar near the northern seal. The three glowing pieces will be easily visible to the north. Collect all three pieces to break the seal.
Breaking the Western Seal
The western seal is the final obstacle to entering the dragon’s lair. Again, players can fast travel to the Lair and then glide westward. The three glowing pieces are scattered around the central pillar. Defeat any nearby enemies using the best Genshin Impact characters and collect all three pieces. Once obtained, the seal to the lair will be broken.
