Upcoming Fixes and New Content for Forza Motorsport
Forza Motorsport players can anticipate a plethora of adjustments and improvements coming their way in the form of Update 2. Turn 10 Studios, the developer behind the game, has been diligently monitoring Forza Motorsport since its release and has already implemented numerous progression and stability adjustments with the previous Update 1. Now, Update 2 is on the horizon, packed with over 200 fixes, enhancements, and exciting new features.
Stability Fixes
One of the primary focuses of Update 2 is improving the overall stability of Forza Motorsport. Turn 10 Studios aims to reduce crashes and ensure a smooth gameplay experience for all platforms. These stability fixes will be an ongoing effort for the developer, with additional improvements planned for future updates beyond Update 2.
Livery Editor Enhancements
The Livery Editor in Forza Motorsport will be receiving some updates as well. Players will now be able to view and unlock tunes and vinyls shared by other players, expanding the customization options available. Additionally, a bug causing the black paint shade to appear as grey instead of black has been fixed. Another issue where only the inner barrel on factory rims was paintable has also been resolved, giving players more creative freedom.
Improvements for PC Players
PC players using AMD chipsets will no longer have to endure the inconvenience of shaders recompiling every time they start Forza Motorsport. Furthermore, a specific game crash that occurred when headphones were plugged into the front panel has been addressed. PC players utilizing the AMD 7900 XTX and experiencing crashes at the end of races are advised to download the latest AMD graphics driver, which should resolve the issue.
Enhancements to Multiplayer
Multiplayer aspects have not been overlooked, with several fixes and improvements coming in Update 2. Turn 10 Studios has made adjustments to matchmaking as a group, party management, and invites and joins across multiplayer. Players can also expect to see custom liveries showing up more consistently across multiplayer game modes. Additionally, the Intermission/Launch Countdown, which had been taking longer than expected, has been addressed and will now function as intended. Other fixes include automatic wet tire selection when entering an event and improved fuel estimation logic. Title stability when resuming from a suspended state on console has also been improved.
Gameplay Adjustments
Forza Motorsport’s gameplay will receive some tweaking as well. An exploit related to changing car tune mid-race has been resolved, ensuring fair competition. A bug that caused the game to become stuck in a “new content update” loop when entering the main menu has also been fixed. Additionally, issues with replays not starting, cars not moving, or floating have been addressed. Another bug that forced a camera change at the start of a race has been resolved, allowing for a seamless racing experience.
Car Specific Fixes
Several fixes have been implemented for specific cars in Forza Motorsport. The 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS Sport Roll Cage visual upgrade option, which previously removed the car’s roof when viewed in first-person, has been corrected.
Wheel Compatibility
Wheel compatibility has been improved as well. The Thrustmaster T248 LED screen will now display race position information correctly, providing players with valuable real-time feedback during races.
With these extensive fixes and enhancements, Forza Motorsport players can look forward to a more polished and enjoyable racing experience. Turn 10 Studios is committed to delivering regular monthly content updates, starting with the introduction of the new Yas Marina track location in Update 2. Players can brace themselves for new tracks, exciting live events, engaging Featured Tours, and additional multiplayer features.
Preparing for Update 2
While eagerly awaiting the arrival of Update 2, Forza Motorsport players can stay informed about known issues and find troubleshooting assistance in the Troubleshooting Hub. Turn 10 Studios is actively collecting feedback and reports from players regarding bugs and glitches. It is highly likely that some of these reported issues will be addressed and resolved in Update 2, leading to a smoother and more immersive gameplay experience for all.
The highly anticipated Update 2 for Forza Motorsport is expected to be released in mid-November 2023. Players can expect a massive wave of improvements, fixes, and new content that will enhance their racing adventures. With Turn 10 Studios’ commitment to continuous updates and community engagement, Forza Motorsport is set to evolve into an even better and more exciting racing simulator over time.
