The China Evolution Series, a highly anticipated tournament organized by TJ Sports and Riot Games, recently concluded its first act, Variation, with EDward Gaming (EDG) emerging as the champions. This thrilling event showcased the talent of eight top teams from the region, culminating in an exciting best of 5 match between EDG and Rare Atom.

Throughout the Variation act, EDG proved their dominance by losing only a single map, which happened during the Grand Final. Prior to the Bo5 match, the Chinese roster displayed their superiority with consecutive 2-0 victories against Trace Esports, Attacking Soul Esports, and FunPlus Phoenix. The exceptional performances of fan-favorite Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang, better known as KangKang, in all four games during the main event were particularly noteworthy.
