The Big Blockchain Game List’s Monthly Update

The Big Blockchain Game List has recently released its monthly update, featuring the addition of 39 new games in August. This brings the total number of blockchain games on the list to a staggering 914, including both live games and those currently in development.

New High Profile Game Announcements

During the month, we witnessed the exciting announcement of several high profile titles. nWay unveiled their upcoming game, Wreck League, while Zynga introduced Sugartown. What makes these announcements even more noteworthy is their decision to deploy their initial NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Additionally, Zillion Whales teased mobile RTS game Wild Forest, adding to the growing number of games on the Ronin platform.

Chain Growth and Game Expansion

Ethereum, Polygon, and Immutable have consistently attracted a substantial number of projects throughout 2023. However, in August, Cardano took the lead by welcoming the largest number of games to its blockchain. This surge can be attributed to Cardano’s recent focus on gaming projects, which include the NFT game Inmates, the RPG Chains of War, and the pet farming game Mocossi Planet.

It’s worth noting that a significant portion of games, accounting for approximately 21%, have been announced for other blockchains on an individual scale. These blockchains include Base, Finschia, Fantom, and Starknet, among others. This trend is a positive indicator of the ecosystem’s diversity and resilience, particularly in light of recent market conditions.
